Curious Legends are hosting various activities with hopes to breathe life back into the streets of Wallsend.

Artistic Director Mitchell Reese said it would be a fantastic event and hundreds of people had already registered for tickets.

“This is going to be a fun week for families in Wallsend,” he said.

“Our Bush Clowns will be roaming the streets, as well as a heap of great roving artists from around Newcastle each afternoon.”

The free family event will also feature workshops, giant puppets, craft activities, music and a Wyldings treasure hunt that will transform Wallsend parks and shops into a giant playground.

From November 22 to November 25, families can participate in the Wylding hunt, starting at Wallsend Library to pick up a map. Then, families will go on an adventure to find all the creatures hidden around Wallsend.

Everyone is encouraged to dress up as their own fierce Wylding so they can participate in the Wylding parade through the trees.

Curious Legends are hosting a Wylding dinner in Wallsend Park on Friday, November 26, between 5pm and 8pm to finish the wild week. Families are encouraged to pack a picnic and join in the fun.
